COD: Modern Warefare 2

Let me introduce you to Phoney War, a grand strategy WW2 game for 2-3 players. Phoney War consists of two games in one: Race to Berlin, the 3 player version, begins in 1939 and features a setup inspired by history. Phoney War: Prelude to War is our two player version, and begins sometime in the early 1930s. It plays out very differently from the three player game, and should appeal to the alternate history crowd, or those who just like two player games more.

Some features: Diceless combat resolve. Fog of War mechanic. East and West share a common enemy in Germany, but are nonetheless competitors - single player victory!

Prefer company of heroes 1, because COH2 takes away too much stuff, and gives not enough back, and seems no different in terms of graphics and gameplay from COH1, so What has COH2 given us, apart from Russians, and general characters? Nothing, less units, less factions, same graphics, The game failed. :-(

What are you babbling about?

If you have ever played Total Annihilation or Total Annihilation Kingdoms, or Supreme Commander 1, check this game out.  Its quite different from the first Supreme Commander but actually runs and I think looks better than the first.  Its an RTS game centered around starting off with practically just one unit, your commander and building a base from there.  Mass and Energy are the only 2 resources but research points are technically a resource now.  You can upgrade your structures, units, and commander to help your efforts of winning.

The franchise is known for having gigantic experimental robots and just dominate everything around them with insane weapons and ramped up abilities.  For example, a artillery cannon that is a factory that launches units instead of shells anywhere on the map.  You can build a gigantic magnet to repel or attract enemy units, depending how your mood is  :mrgreen: .  There are 3 factions in the game, all have for the most part unique units that set them apart.

The unit detail is stunning, parts and pieces on all the objects rotate, fold, collapse, transform, move in and out.  Check it out, it got kinda weak reviews, 78 score overall because everyone wanted the same thing remade from the first game which is kinda arrogant I think.

I’m not sure if ive already made a topic about this game.  This is like one of the most anticipated game mods out there right now.  Forgotten Hope 2 is going to be like Battlefield 1942……massive WWII combat, but using the Battlefield 2 game engine.  Its also going to be a very accurate WWII game, unlike BF1942.  The first Forgotten Hope, which used the BF1942 engine, was made exactly like that.  Many hardcore WWII buffs were unhappy that many guns and vehicles were left out of BF1942.  So a group of modders got together and decided to make a game that was accurate, thus Forgotten Hope was born.  Now they are at it making Forgotten Hope 2, which will be like the first FH but with better graphics and all the new stuff that has been implemented in BF2.

At current time they are only making the North Africa campaign, so people can start playing it already.  However, they will be making other theaters of war and releasing them one by one for people to play.  A mod of this epicness is going to take awhile.  Just to allow you to grasp how epic it is…the install for the first FH was about 1.8 GB on the PC (the complete game with all theater’s of war).  BF1942 was only a 1 gig install.  So imagine this.  When its all done though, the wait will definitely be worth it.  I just cant wait for the Eastern Front.  :lol:

Edit-BTW, im not a developer for the game, as the avatar I have might mistakenly indicate.  I simply liked that avatar and stole it for myself.  Teddy Bears with rifles kick ass.  :-P
