How is the site running so far today?

It seems pretty snappy now. It should be. All of the code that runs the forum and the content is now cached after compilation. Previously, it was compiling every time.

I get a 404 Not Found when trying to do a search.

I’m not seeing that. From where are you doing the search? Send the URL, please.

Did anybody experience any of the gateway timeouts today or yesteray?

I’m using the “Search” feature in the bar at the top left of the page.

Yea, I got a couple of 404 file not founds yesterday, Djensen, but an immediate refresh of the page cleared it up without an issue.  I figured it was probably something on my end.

I get the 404 even when refreshing.  This is happening at different IPs and using different browsers.

Okay, I think some of these issues are database related and because I didn’t write the crappy forums software, there’s not much I can do about it.

There are a lot of posts in the system so the search query takes a very long time. If you do the same search after you see the 404, the result should come up quickly because the query eventually finished (after the browser timed-out) and was cached.
