yep. i was playing germany, and captured moscow on the same turn or the turn after japan fell to the usa. we had to call the game a couple of rounds later after germany took the uk as it was apparent that they would win due to the huge IPC lead

Very nice. I think it also seems feasible that Italy could fall near the collapse of Moscow and be recaptured by Germany.

Yeah, actually the game I played with my buddy Friday night. I was the Axis, Italy fell to the Ruskies, but Germany and Japan finished the game off.

I’ve seen a game where the allies lost after they took italy, but this is rather unsuprising due to italy’s small military power and income. I expect this is a rather unrare event.
