The US Federal Election Commision(FEC) imposed record fines of at least 719,000 $s against Democrats involved in the party’s 1996 fundraising. Democrat fundraisers demanded illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals in China(PRC) and other countries in exchange for meetings with then President William Jefferson Clinton and then VP Albert Gore.
Among those penalized by the FEC were the …
    Democratic National Committee(DNC) … 115,000 $s, the
    Clinton-Gore campaign … 2,000 $s, and the
    Buddhist Progressive Society … !20,000 $s
The Washington Post and The New York Times reported Saturday.

They also said the DNC agreed to surrender 128,000 $s representing Illegal campaign contributions that were not returned because they were submitted by now defunct organizations. More than 20 people and corporations acting as conduits also were fined, the papers said, citing FEC documents. According to records they have all agreed to pay.

The total fines would have been much higher except that some of the companies have shut down and others were dummy operations used as conduits for money from Canada, China, Venezuela(drug money), and other countries, The Washington Post said.

The FEC dropped cases involving more than 3,000,000 $s in illegal campaign contributions to the Democratic National Committee because the respondents are either out of of the country beyond extradition, or are defunct corporations accordind to FEC papers cited by The Washington Post.

The Democratic ational Committee should have had to pay the 3,000,000 $s.

Kent Cooper, a former elections commission official, told The New York Times that the commission limited the fines to some people who said they could not afford to pay more. He said the total fines assessed appeared to be surprisingly low.

Now, there’s no question as to the name of the Illegitimate President and the Illegitimate Party.

Who sold a night’s stay in the Lincoln Bedroom? Dozens of times! Who’s holding the Democrat Party in a morality Half-Nelson? Ted Kennedy? Nope, but he’s a good choice. Albert Gore? Nah, although the fact that he supported tobacco after his sister died of lung cancer(from smoking), and that he said he grew up in Tennessee, though almost his entire childhood was spent in a hotel in Washington, D.C., and his flipflop on abortion. Joseph Lieberman? Almost as many flips than Algore(pre-election), but the worst was claiming tp be an orthodox Jew after coming out in support of abortion(in Jewish law that’s a No-No.) Hmm, maybe William Jefferson Clinton didn’t have good(morally speaking)mentors nor associates, but a tiny voice inside him was probably CHOKING TO DEATH! - Xi

  • So what about our illegitimate president? :-?

  • yea?

  • I guess he’s referring to our illegitimate “previous” president.

  • Let Clinton live out his pitiful life in years of Daytime TV. Bush is a real enemy of freedom.

  • Bush is a real enemy of freedom

I could also call Lincoln and FDR an enemy of freedom (though more would be inclined them to call them "protectors of freedom)… :-?

  • @Yanny:

Let Clinton live out his pitiful life in years of Daytime TV. Bush is a real enemy of freedom.

Don’t kid yourself. Clinton severely compromised our freedom (ie: safety and liberties) more than Bush has yet to do.
