France Illegal Immigrants Demand Blanket Residency Permits

  • Read about 6500 marched from Place de Clichy to the
Place de la Republique(feel free to correct spelling).
They demanded residency for all. The current govern-
ment had pledged to do a case by case review.
What say ye, socialists and communists
(or anyone else, of course). - Xi

“Be yourself. Who else is better qualified?” - Frank J. Giblin II

  • Something tells me you are giving me a woefully inadequate report of the situation.

  • Hoping for a better update from F_S.

    Chow. 🙂 - Xi

  • Seriously we don’t need a very big event to get 6000 French on the street, they have “l’esprit révolutionaire” (which is a good or a bad thing, it’s a question of point of view)…

I wish you did not think the 6 000 were Illegal Immigrant, most are French like me who think these immigrants should’nt be “sans papier”, this manifestation was lead by communist, socialist and humanist political party but i really don’t see what is wrong with it, exept if you think immigrants are “stealing jobs” and bla bla bla… in reality they are usefull as we don’t have lot of children…

Personally i think we, german, were not always very fair with the turkish minority. Some (mostly in the south) say they are the cause of unemployement, of criminality…

  • Then this benefits all. Of course I don’t know where you going with socialists and communists. They need work too!

  • It’s not a big event. But it leads to an event that may effect France for
    years to come.

Not all were illegal immigrants, as F_S stated.
Some were communists, union members and human rights
    advocates.

I believe the French government is correct in doing a case by case
    evaluation though. - Xi

it comes from being open to all the questions.” - Earl Gray Stevens

Yeah, but that would drag out a bit long - esp. when people need a place to live.

France is their country. If there are communist, union members, and human rights advocates that need residency, then I say, hey, more power to them.

But it leads to an event that may effect France for
    years to come.

    Good or bad?

  • Good or bad?
I think we’ll leave that to the french to decide. - Xi

“Communism, like any other revealed religion, is largely made up
of prophecies. When they fail its clergy simply say that they will
be realized later on. Thus, if we have another boom, they will argue
that the collapse of capitalism is only postponed. The fact that the
greatest booms ever heard of followed Marx’s formal prophecy of the
downfall of capitalism is already forgotten, just as millions have
long since forgotten the early Christian prophecy that the end of
the world was at hand. The first Christians accepted postponements
as docilely as the Communists of today.” - Henry L. Mencken
    –-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The end of the world is coming . . . some day. - Xi 🙂

no no, you don’t understand, Communist & Human Rights advocates are marching for illegal immigrant so they can have residency, they don’t need residency for themself.

  • Ahhhh… I see now.

  • Doh! 😄 - Xi
