Sights and signs from a trip into Michigan

  • My wife and I went back to the land of Ford from the Land of Lincoln to visit a family that moved there after our wedding.

This was for the President’s Day weekend.

From all of the election signs, you would think that Ron Paul should have won the Republican nomination.  Local candidate signs abounded, but none of the Republican nominees who got more votes than him had any signs within our view.  We saw one Obama billboard from the freeway, and none for Hillary.

In some of the residential parts of Detroit, you would have thought it was summer…  One subdivision had a realty sign on over 50% of the homes.  Others had at least 20% for sale.

On a comparison, we saw <5% of homes for sale as we aproached home.

Maybe that was just a part of the country where folks totally ignore the signs.

That is probably because the other campaigns followed the law and cleaned up their campaign signs right after the election, though.

Well he probably would have, but the word got out that Ron Paul eats Babies…
