Cool. I don’t really play anymore but this sounds super useful.

Now we’re cookin!!! Thanks Colbalt.

MOT, when you have a chance, would you please replace the bold red text that says: The current version is v1.07 with an actual link to the latest MapView version at the begining of this post? I can’t find the v1.07 on your MapView web site. Thanks!
-
I edited the text to make it more clear.
-
I think I misunderstood your initial post. The Axis & Allies Miniatures Modules are version 1.70. The current MapView program is still version 1.3?
-
Yes. Well specificallly the numbers are 1.07 and 1.3.20, but otherwise you have the gist.
-
Mot, I can install the new scenario maps just fine, but I can’t seem to install the updated regular maps. Every time I “install” the new maps, they don’t show up in my “New Game” window. Help!
-
Nevermind – I got it now. :-)
-
Updated to v 1.08
-
YEAH!
-
Added a few more, let me know what you think of the various obstacles…
-
They work for me… can you add hex tiles? I’m not sure how it would work, when a unit is added the hex tile must stay in the background.
There’s a whole list of combat zone tiles, I had a bunch and they’re missing. Oh no, where the hell are they. LOST DAMN… anyway, do you know where you can find the list?
-
The current implementation of MapView wouldn’t support hex tiles very well, I’m afraid…
-
Maybe under the “other” category, we could pro-shop a tree unit, mountain unit, and so forth. This way we could drag the icon in a clear hex to customize a map. I would look a little generic but it could work to spice up some already decent maps.
-
I dont have any problem with including some terrain markers to denote special terrain, as long as they work within what MapView can provide.
Also, next batch of units added…
-
Mot, what’s up with that new terrain that DK sent you… looks like two big mountains with a forest and old faithfull in the middle.
-
actually it looks like a nice full moon squating down over the landscape
-
And here I though it was some type of Trench terrain
-
No problem, I can make a Trophy piece for every country…
