• @Romulus:

Indeed I also like an Australian band very much: the AC/DC!

AC/DC is perhaps the best thing that has ever come from Australia ever……aside from the hot Aussie chicks of course.

  • Australia have also Wallabies (the Australia national Rugby team) and … yeah Nicole Kidman!

Most people would be confused if they saw my ipod.  Of course most people I know would think it was funny to find out that I have an ipod.  I’m what they call a redneck around here… lol

Anyway I have songs from Hank Sr to Waylon, Hagard and Jones to Toby Keith and Mongomery Gentry.

I work with Gentry’s brother.  I kid you not.

Those guys make some damn good Redneck music.  I was pretty disapointed when they came to Baghdad I had a mission and couldn’t go to the concert.  I missed CDB too, I did get to see Toby though…

Anyway I have songs from Hank Sr to Waylon, Hagard and Jones to Toby Keith and Mongomery Gentry.

I also have selected tunes from Metalica, Disturbed, Ramstien, and an extensive Ozzy/Black Sabath collection.  I have some old school Beastie Boys and a couple Tone Loc hits.  I have some Wagner and Bernstein.  I even have Sinatra and Dean Martin.

What I like most about music is unique sound and I want something that matches my mood.

Some times I’m in the mood to do it like they do it on the discovery channel (Bloodhound Gang) and sometimes I feel the sickness rising inside (Disturbed) and some times I want to run a trout line and drink some home made wine (Hank Jr.)

There’s crap music in every genre, but there is usualy something good in every genre if you can find it.

Sounds like me exactly. Except I’m not known as a redneck and I don’t have an Ipod, just an external HD with 30 GB of tunes on it, running the whole range.

  • does any even like Crank That by Soulja Boy??? that song is horrible.

Never heard of them… but If they are horrible than I am lucky to have avoided any contact!

  • For me it’s been:

Derek & The Dominoes - Layla & Other Love Songs (I think that’s what the album is called), particularly Bellbottom Blues
The Advantage - A NES video game cover band
    Pixies - Velouria
Weezer - Covering the Pixies’ Velouria

That’s all I can think of right now.
