So can anyone lend me 4,000 dollars to buy this bad boy?
-
Very nice, very nice. Maybe if you write a letter to your congressman, asking for a pay raise for Marine Corp enlisted men, then I will be able to lend you some money.
-
i could see 1500 dollars. but 4000 is a lot of cash for a boat thats a model and not a real boat

When I get home I’ll post the link to an online site in the UK that has models like this available.
Their 1.6 meter long Bismark is only 2000 British Pounds if memory serves…
They have some models up to 6 meters long… -

Did you see all the available options? light kits, deck crew, etc. :-)
One of these days I WILL have the Bismark to sail around on the duck pond in this subdivision…
How I will carry something a half block that is significantly longer than I am tall has yet to be determined… -
Its a little too costly for me……however for the time being I think I will save up for an RC T34/85.
Heres a youtube video of it in action.

I could have a LOT of fun with my cats with that one (they always loved my micro RC car…)
But I still want the Bismark.
My biggest issue is that my father has some RC boats that he races on the salt marsh pond at his place in Chincoteague, and I need something with some SPEED for that, and the Bismark simply does not have it (nor can I transport a 1.6 meter ship 6 hours away).
Now if I could figure out how to fire incendiary rounds from the smaller Bismark ship and thus take out my dad’s racing boat…

Games workshop made fully functioning miniature battleships back in the day… Now where did my old magazine go…

In my youth I experimented a LOT with models and live fire. Bottle rockets were a popular choice, as was all of the black powder and high grade powder that I had access to because of muzzle loaders and shotgun shell reloading.
Problem with live-fire models:
Bottle Rocket exhaust instantly ignites LARGE areas of plastic models
Even modest amounts of black powder rupture plastic model gun barrelsI burned up a LOT of models…
