• Hallo from Germany

    I have several rule questions, hope you guys can help me.

    1.)
    If a fighter attack with ground units an abut enemy territory, would he attack each round, or only the frist round and fly back?

    2.)
    Are ground units allowed to fire at air units, witch are attacking them? (fighters and Bombers?)

    3.)
    If a bomber fly over enemy territory with enemy fighter, can these fighter attack the bomber? Or could only the flak attack?

    4.) Are casualities of opening fire allowed to fire back, or they destroyed immediately?

    Hallo from Germany

    Hello and welcome!

    @Sigma:

    1.)
    If a fighter attack with ground units an abut enemy territory, would he attack each round, or only the frist round and fly back?

    The fighter attacks each round, just like the ground units.

    @Sigma:

    2.)
    Are ground units allowed to fire at air units, witch are attacking them? (fighters and Bombers?)

    Yes, ground units can hit air or ground units.  Ex. if a bomber attacks an infantry, the bomber would have to roll a 4 or less to hit the infantry, but the infantry returns fire and on a 2 or less would kill the bomber.

    @Sigma:

    3.)
    If a bomber fly over enemy territory with enemy fighter, can these fighter attack the bomber? Or could only the flak attack?

    Only the flak would fire if the bomber flies through the territory.  If the bomber is ATTACKING the territory then all units in the territory would defend.

    @Sigma:

    4.) Are casualities of opening fire allowed to fire back, or they destroyed immediately?

    If by opening fire you mean flak or battleship bombardments, then they are destroyed immediately with no chance of return fire.

  • Thanks alot.

    One more question, if a bomber does an strat. attack on a factory, are every ground unit (sam territory as the factory) able to fire at the bomber?

  • No.

    On that type of attack (a Strategic Bombing Raid or SBR for short), ONLY the Anti-Aircraft gun (AA) would fire.

    If there is no AA gun in the territory with the Industrial Complex (IC), then there is no defense against the SBR, and the Bomber simply rolls for damage with NO chance of being shot down.

  • Ok thanks, now ia understand. But if a bomber attack ground units, they would fire back?

    yep

  • Hallo,
    our first game is over. 8 hours pretty hard fights :)

    I have one more question. Are fighter from a carrier allowed to attack with ground units, witch attacks a other territory? So they can fire each round, or it is a sperat combat move?

    Yes. The only thing you have to worry about is if the fighters have enough spaces left to land.

  • Sorry that could be misleading.

    Yes a fighter attacks with the ground troops.

  • Well, the fighter CAN attack with ground troops might be a better way to put it.  It is up to the player what they want to assign to a battle.

    For example, if you have to fight through enemy ships to do an amphibous landing, you can choose whether to have the fighters attack the enemy ships OR participate in the ground battle afterwards.
