Poll: How "Conservative" am I?

  • what am i trying to accomplish? ill tell u. im just here so i can discuss issues and things wih people of other veiws then mine. this way if i find there opinion is better than mine, i can imporve my veiws. so im just trying to learn and at the same time express myself. and the quote thing is there just because that is my view right now so i keeep it there as kind of like a banner. now if all that is bugging u is the quote and u will stop being a ass if it isnt there i will change it for u. but only if thats the only reason why ur being such a pric.

  • Well, i can remember we had a small private message conversation.
Assuming that you can think, you should be able to deduce the reasons for my behavior.
I will not harass you any longer, if you take out those quotes, promised.

And i hope we can then have fruitful discussions.
BTW, discussion and thinking are not things, that a fascist regime would like to see, so your kids would already report “my dad has contact to some leftists”…

  • haha but then again i would be in the military and be in a position of power. and i iwill take the quote down dont wry. now ur grandfather was a Democratic Socialist right? well anyway if i had kids in that situation before the kids reported me, i would have reported the leftist that i had contact with so no worries for me ;)

  • @DasEwokSS:

First: Being in a position of power means nothing in such a system, unless you are at the one top position of power. Look up “ernst Roehm”, SA-Leader, killed in 1934.

Second: My granddad was a social democrat. That’s one of these parties that are pretty common in europe, if you are interested in the workers movement and/or actual politics over there, look it up.

Third: You have contacted the leftist, as you came to this board. And even worse, this leftist is not from your conutry, so you are involved in an international conspiracy against the state.

  • well then in that case i deserv to die. because i am a criminal then and a enemy of the state and he Leader. :)

  • So, i guess you (got) the point i was trying to make?

  • what? and im not a Pure Facist i just agree with many of there ideas and Facism is the closest thing that i know comapred to my veiw so i proudly call my self a Facist!

  • @DasEwokSS:

Problem is that you will get a “half-fascism”. Do the “good points” make up for the “bad points”, that’s something you should ask for.

  • do u have AIm or ICQ so we can have this conversation move quicker and better?

  • i do have icq, yes…. what is your number?

  • It was pretty interesting reading up on this little conservation. However (and you won’t see this a lot), I will have to side with the European instead of the Northern Yankee. Honestly, Wicket, do you have any idea what you are saying about fascism? Now I admit, I use to be a pseudo-facist back in the day as a counterculture act against the rebellion of the youth. It just seemed like “keeping in line” and being a faceless member of the state was the only way to preserve order amid chaos (this preyed on my nationalistic side). However, as I started to look into it some more, I found out how hideously wrong I was. It’s great to be the fascist – if you’re at the top, but what if your not (which 99.9% of the people reside)? Another main problem with fascism is the transition of power and the eventual need to “expand.” Now, if you really want a party, Communist is the way to go, Comrade. A Specter haunts over America– that Specter is Communism! 8)

“Second: My granddad was a social democrat.”

“Where was your granddad during the great World War II?” – George S. Patton

“and im not a Pure Facist i just agree with many of there ideas and Facism is the closest thing that i know comapred to my veiw so i proudly call my self a Facist!”

What parts do you agree/disagree with? But you’re right, it is hard to tell a “pure facist” today - mainly because were now entering the 21st Century and all previous theories have to be revised to cope with this (Communism being a fine example)

  • @TG:

“Second: My granddad was a social democrat.”

“Where was your granddad during the great World War II?” – George S. Patton

is that a serious question, or was it just to bring in that Patton-quote?

  • hello hello hello! hey TJ. well i agree with the Facist that i beleive that the State should be controlled by one man and run by the Military. i beleive iin Expansion for i am a Military nut. and i was into the Communist thing 4 years ago when Red Alert 2 was out but i just didnt Like Communism after a while. so i did some reading and i got upsessed with the wehrmacht.

  • So, why not call it military dictatorship then? Fascism is more than that, and it’s adding quite a few not so nice points to it.

btw: the nicest dictator (i am not sure wether it was one, but i think so) was in Burkina Faso some time ago: a 28 year old lieutenant, sick of teh corruption in his country, became president. Just to be shot AFAIR short after that by the old cliques.

  • DasEwokSS, you are fachist because you don’t know what it is… “Mein Ehre Heißt Treue”, the motto of the Waffen-SS, is not that horrible… when you don’t know who said that. They kill so much innocent, how can you be blind to that ?

Also complete dictatorship rarely work, because the state is too subject to the emotion of it’s leader. Exept some rare, very very rare, exemple (à la Pisistrate) where it was a good thing.

Germany’s Interior Minister, Otto Schily, says 90% of foreign-based neo-Nazi websites are set up in the United States, where they’re protected by American freedom of speech laws.

In Germany, autorities are really sensible about Nazism, and it’s a good thing !

  • “is that a serious question, or was it just to bring in that Patton-quote?”

As a serious question. I thought a Patton quote would do a good job at conveying it. How old was he? Was he like the late, great Konrad Adenauer?

“hello hello hello! hey TJ [TG]. well i agree with the Facist that i beleive that the State should be controlled by one man and run by the Military. i beleive iin Expansion for i am a Military nut.”

How can just one man control the entire state? How can the military operate the state and regulate itself, all while maintaining its primary function? The problem with a fascist state is the need to expand. With a constant state of military readiness and its expansion, something has to give (case in point, the USSR). This forces the state to expand through military conquest and territorial gains in order to satisfy appetites of a mobilized state (read Roman Empire and Mussolini’s Fascist Italy). I’m a military nut too, but as a communist, I see no need for such a military force – especially during peacetime.

“Just to be shot AFAIR short after that by the old cliques.”

    What does AFAIR mean?

My Granddad was in his 30s when Hitler took over. He was just a “small light” in a small village, but being social demcorat is enough to get you “interrogated” for a few days. I can’t remember exactly why, but he was “unable” to fight (i think it was his knees, plus that he was not trustworthy for the regime).
So, not as important as any of the politicians that made the federal republic to what it is (and i prefer Kurt Schumacher to Adenaur, i think Schumacher was a greater man).

AFAIR: as far as i remember

  • Kurt Schumacher, Konrad Adenauer, Theodor Heuss, and the many others, even the ‘small lights’ :), who stood up against Hitler’s regime were all people of high stature and caliber. I think their political careers and hardships will reflect that.

PS: My ‘favorite’ of the post-World War II German governing body was Willy Brandt, a influential and very well-liked Soical Democrat. I also like Ernst Reuter if you are looking into someone older.

  • Willy Brandt was in my opinion the best chancellor germany ever had. He opened the way to reunification, he took the responsibility when it came out that one of his subordinates was an east german spy (unlike Helmut Kohl, who at least two such incidents refused to step back).
