The book Miracle at Midway includes an unintentionally amusing quote from Miller himself describing the ceremony at which he was decorated. Miller, whose spelling was a bit unorthodox, wrote about how moved he felt when Nimitz pinned the Navy Cross on his “heaving busom”.

This series was originally made with english subtitles and the Germans spoke German/ brits spoke english but this version has it redubbed all in Russian.

I have not had time to check the links posted but while on the topic of best war movies, I would vote Patton. Screw all those special effects, ill take oscar winning (and refusal to accept) Georce C. Scott. That entire movie is amazing just to simply watch him portray Patton. I heard Patton in real life actually had a higher pithed voice and it would someone squeak. He was pretty embarrassed about it
