This line of products will not be successful…I have no idea why so many people make the same mistake. Jeff who made The War Game: World War Two had its minis made by Pegasus hobbies and i knew when i saw the prototypes the size would be an issue because they are not compatible with AA. The whole point is to make them smaller so they fit on the map and are in scale with what people use over many years. Such a simple concept that they never seem to realize. Then in this case he makes these ‘guns’ as representative as infantry? Terrible idea.
Imagine the world map cut up into regions a la the A&A game board. You take turns moving resources, units, buying technologies, etc towards the objective of capturing opponents’ capital cities set in WWII. However, instead of rolling dice to determine conflicts as in A&A - you jump onto the battlefield and use the resources that were moved into the territory of conflict to play out a RTS battle. Being an A&A board game nut from my high school days AND a RTS fan, I absolutely consider it the best of both worlds.
Took it from Atari board.
.SICK!!!,i always tought of doing that,nice job guys@ atari
‘World Tank Museum’?
You got it right.
WTM -> www.world-tank-museum.com
This is the official site and they are sold out !
But if you check for ’ 1/144 ’ on EBay, you will get a few pgs of them at all kind of prices and all kind of publishers. I got a few hundreds of them from a few of the publishers like Takara, Dragon Cando,Panzer Projekt, 21st Century etc,etc.
I also got the Panzertales collector book for WTM, in english. In this book of 98 pgs, I got almost all the tanks and more, in multiple examples.
Ok, enough bragging.
Is this the same map as global 39? or close?
No. This map is based on the old AAE and AAP. At the time I wanted a way to play both maps seemelessly. AAG40 acomplished the goal of this project, albeit in a slightly different way. Therefore, this map has been mostly forgotten since then.
NEW RELEASE from WorldsForge
Field Command: Singapore 1942 Cards Expansion is a card-based expansion to the Field Command: Singapore 1942, which is about the Battle of Singapore during the Second World War.
This expansion allows the player to experience many interesting and unique episodes that truly happened during the Battle of Singapore, such as Yamashita’s bluff and Maxwell’s premature withdrawal, the failed Japanese ruse of disguise as Indian soldiers, and the burning hell on Kranji river. Together, these episodes epitomize the unpredict-ability of warfare, as few real battles follow the textbook or even go according to plan.
The cards come in 2 decks, one for each side of the conflict, and enhance the re-playability of 2 campaign scenarios - Impregnable Fortress & The Almost Naked Island. Players will get to adapt to unforeseen situations and surprise their opponents. Every game is a new challenge.
