<![CDATA[Can German aircraft scramble from Western Germany to defend sea zone 95?]]>I assume this isn’t the case but I didn’t want to rule it out as my nephew asked since I attacked the Italian fleet in sea zone 95? I know W. Germany is a coastal place with an airforce but it didn’t make sense it could send fighters across a land territory like northern Italy to attack sea zone 95?

Air units can scramble only to sea zones adjacent to the territory the air base is in. in Western Germany’s case, those would be sea zones 112 and 113. See page 16 of the Rulebook.
