I’m sure they might have a few good ideas. Too bad they choose some rather sick symbols to use. Ya know, how can anybody take them seriously. It’s like when people say the propaganda in North Korea is comparable to the propaganda the US used in the Cold War. I mean how can anybody take somebody like that seriously?
I understand some lawyer in Belgium wants to take Tommy Franks to court and try him as a War Criminal on behalf of some Iraqi civilians who said he should have done more to protect the museums. Now, I don’t disagree that the US could have done more, and perhaps there should be some sort of an investigation. But, to use the War Crimes mechanism and the World Court for this political agenda will cause the US to shy away even more from a world court system that could be used to prosecute real war crimes and crimes against humanity. Why somebody would choose to sue Tommy Franks over say Pol Pot when he was alive or say Yassir Arafat is beyond me. But then again there are lots of French folks in Belgium so that might be reason enough. 😉
Haven’t seen the new movie yet, but the Clone Wars television cartoon featured some of the best Star Wars storytelling of recent years, especially the season 5 Darth Maul arc. Star Wars Rebels is watchable but not quite as good, though moving towards climax now with Thrawn as the main antagonist. Chopper is probably my all-time favorite Star Wars character.
I think Rebels is every bit as good as Clone Wars. I haven’t caught any of the new season yet but I’m eager for it to hit blu-ray. The Rebels creators get Star Wars a lot more than our recent film creators do.
Well one time when I was 18 I had broken my leg so I had a cast from my ankle to half way up my thigh. My buddy was riding me double on his bicycle downhill on Niagara St. We past a cruiser who pulled a U-turn. My bud was nimble on the bike and by the time the cruiser had down his 180, my friend road us between Time Square and the canal in the rear parking lot. We squeezed between two buildings, left the bike in tall grass and the cruiser slowly drove past us, missed us hiding in debris and left us alone. Not bad on one leg if I do say so myself! Riding double on a bicycle with a broken leg…not sure why we were so scared of the heat! Oh yeah, no headlight on the bicycle…
