In Axis & Allies 1940 Global it seems when I play as the Anzac I do nothing besides building ships. And when I have a strong enough navy to attack Japan the Allies or the Axis already beat the game.
They have two guys in Egypt and one by India. I send my planes over to help but it seems like I always turn out like the French, (only able to assist the Allies). Does anyone have any tips for Anzac?

But yeah, ANZAC usually just defaults to being extra troops for the US or UK.
I guess the good thing is that Australia is very far from Japan, so if the IJN is busy fighting the US Navy (or beating up India), you might be able to independently contest the Dutch East Indies or your National Objective islands (particularly the Solomons). It’s all very situational though.
One possibility would be to use the Egypt units to take Persia or Iraq, build a minor industrial complex there, then start building up a land army to operate in Southeast Asia, the Soviet Union, or North Africa, wherever it’s needed most urgently.
I guess my best advice would be: Follow what the US and UK do and coordinate accordingly. The turn order means that the either power can can-open for you if given the chance.
You can use them to retake money islands and being a general nuisance to japan.
Java is just 3 moves away from your factory, if you take it that gives you 14 ipcs to spend which is 1 transport + 1 inf + 1art. Which also is your production limit and its also a pretty decent attacking force.
US can clear blockers if needed and Anzac can just move in and take the island.
Japan doesnt always have transports nearby or land forces to take it back so its a hassle for them.
