Thank you for the kind words! Good game. I agree that those reinforcements really hurt the German defense. I guess that’s called being destroyed in detail.

Since there is no way for the Germans to contest any city by the end of their next turn, the game is an Allied win. I thought for a moment that the Germans might be able to keep a piece in one of those three cities (especially Cherbourg) due to the turn 8 dice but alas, no. I sent my reserve armor south instead of north to help with Cherbourg because of that but as it turned it out, it was not necessary.

I have never seen (and we will likely never see again) a 28 point swing in favor of the Allies on reinforcements. Incredible. You played well despite this massive handicap and dodged all the strafes. The dice in combat appear to not have been much of a factor at the end but the sheer weight of numbers were overwhelming. I do not believe I or anyone else could have done much differently as the German player under such extreme conditions. Another outlier game but at least this one demonstrated that in the extraordinarily extreme, even the Germans can suffer from bad reinforcement rolls.
