I feel that a terrible opener for Germany in the Atlantic is worse than a terrible opener for Germany on the east front because this means the western allies are one or even two turns ahead of where they should be. this translates to a much larger western army or armies available to save Russia or kill Germany (Whatever looks more effective). In effect you don’t only have IPC’s that are better spent as the western allies against Germany, but you have them a lot sooner than they otherwise should be.

@Elrood said in NML resume FMRommel vs Elrood:
Battle in Rhone
Well… i though I overdid it with the units… but I was wrong
-
@Elrood You were very lucky with gas early on, with 12 for 12 or 11 for 11. Gas was unreliable because of inability to accurately forecast far enough in advance for complex battles plans with massive artillery, then gas, then massive infantry. They couldn’t control when or which direction wind would blow. Gas attack should only be 3 offense with no tech boost.
-
@FMErwinRommel or kill one of yours on a roll of 6 😀
-
@Elrood I concede. By turning mostly to inf and trenches, I held off for a while. But, the massive gas will weaken Alsace for F to take it on F25. T was getting close to beating F in Cyren. But USA gas weakened me. C was close to R in income, and was holding its own and preventing R from taking Caucus. But, victory bonds, discounted builds and propaganda gave R more income than C and it was holding off G/A despite constant strafing in Lith, due to UK troops.
-
@FMErwinRommel fair enough. Thanks for the prolonging of the conflict. Would have been fun to take Peking and produce 14 tanks per turn there
-
@Elrood it felt REAAALLY nice to bath in all these resources as US… ICs sprouting everywhere. Enabling my allies with gas to advance or defend with additional troops.
And just being the superpower which controls it all and can even conquer heavily defended neutrals while at it.
