@themaster42 War Room can be played using Tabletop Simulator. There is a Discord group used for organization. This is a link to it, I hope it works and does not expire:

Is it more accurate?

I’m deciding whether to buy the game. I’m planning on buying it on one condition:
That it’s more accurate than Axis and Allies.
Axis and Allies is great, but there are many glaring inaccuracies in the game compared to real life (give heavy tank options!).
So is War Room more accuarate than that game? I see these games as scholarly tools to investigate realistic what ifs for World War 2. To do that, the settings and mechanisms have to be realistic, and the game looks promising.
If this isn’t what I’mlooking for, do you have any good ideas? Thank you!

@superbattleshipyamato I really don’t expect A&A type games to be super accurate, as long as they capture the general “feel” of the time period they’re trying so simulate.

The short answer in my opinion is, yes.
It is more accurate, more representational, and a more realistic model of the situation.

@superbattleshipyamato Technically yes but GW36 is the game in the A&A family that’s the most obsessed with historical accuracy. That game isn’t made by LH though. It’s a glorified fan game with professional grade production value.
