you can use different colored chips underneath your G40 sculpts to represent different unit types. i do this. you will also need ports (minor, major port, minor major dockyard, minor and major shipyard, airfields, fortifications, coastal guns, in port markers, rail roads, damage markers, and many others to pay the game though.

Note v1.4 of reference sheets has been released changing a few minor setups. But mainly changing the monroe doctrine regarding South America.

@sjelso Denmark is something I also wouldn’t take till later, but the Netherlands can be a pain very quickly after Japan attacks. Norway may be risky by sea, but only 2 airborne are needed if given long range air support. If done during lightning war, Norway can be rather easily and quickly conquered.

Why not just do it so that 1-6 = pay bank for loses, 7 = pay 1 extra, 8 = pay 2 extra, 9-10 joins your side, 11-12 = joins your side plus reserves called up.

I pointed out the inconsistency in the phrasing if this rule to the designer writing the final draft of the rules. The phrasing has been changed to the Netherlands become British AFTER the combat phase in the first turn that they have been attacked. This means of course that you would want to attack with Japan first and then take out the capital with the Germans on the next turn to avoid giving the US 5D12 for Japan declaring war on the Commonwealth.
