Blockading an island nation

I have the global 40 pieces and some random stuff from HBG but I don’t have any pieces for the actual GW game

@spartantom I would apply it, they are nations. It just makes it alot harder for them to get VPs. You basically have to become a major power.

According to rule 9.11 a convoy line will close if one or both territory at either end is possessed by an Enemy. A closed convoy line cannot be raided.

The Tokyo Line goes to Tokyo, but the other end is in sea zone 122, not any specific island, so it would not be closed unless Tokyo falls, at which time Japan has bigger things to worry about…

Germany defeat the Netherlands, what happens with the controlled minors, the island down in the SOuth Pacific. Do they come under British control and does the property value go to ANZAC?

In section 8.2 it lists blockading as an example of combat movement. 8.11 sort of contradicts this.

I would say in order to enforce a blockade the units need to combat move, and thus couldn’t non combat.

I thought what if you did the turn in GW1936 warroom style, so the movement is more simultaneous and who goes first would depend on a D6 die roll with modifiers that would depend on what you did in the last round, for example if you were more aggressive, you would get a higher modifier than if you just did non-combat movements. Here’s a rough draft of what this could look like:

+1 for each territory last round you conquered NOT using blitz (for a maximum of +3 )

+1 for each territory last round you conquered using blitz (for a maximum of +3 )

-1 for each battle you lost as the attacker (which represents momentum lost when an attack is repulsed)

+1 for each battle won as the defender (which could mean counterattacks)

@Klaykowalski I think you may have misunderstood the term. What they are referring to is 3 nations that the USSR has conquered. In other words, nations that are newly part of the Commintern. Nations are not created in the game.
