Still, a scramble from land cannot be for a battle with a sub or transport because they aren’t surface warships right? Just want to ensure I am following the correct rules.
@666 ABs can scramble up to three figs/tacs to a SZ no matter what’s in that SZ, just as in OOB/BM3. I am positive that other rule only applies to carrier scrambles. We can ask someone knowledgeable. @simon33 @regularkid

Mostly correct. AB to land scramble also requires a defending land unit.
@simon33, well I have been playing PTV wrong then, I thought both cv’s and AB’s required a land unit or a surface warship in order to scramble. To be clear, from an AB, NOT a CV, you can scramble to defend a lone Tranny or SS?
