Lend-leasing of a French Foreign Legion?

I don’t want to go too much off topic. But a short intro back to the topic is allowed I assume.

For the future I will work with the original designer of the first Global War map who offered it for free back in the days. We will make sure that our version updates will be available for free as well. You would then only have to print the map or change it if you wish customizations. And the rules would be written, without commercial interest. These would also be for free. Deathhead’s legacy carries on! That is an allegiance statement.

And this French units house rule solution for Allied units in surrendering friendly vessels will be in it too. 😃

So to stay on topic, I don’t have an official answer for the question, only a house rule solution. Good question! The situation did not occur to us during development. Indeed HBG should clarify.

@chris_henry Andalusia is the only Spanish home territory that isn’t mountain, which could be with not much difficulty taken, of course depending on the player. I is also home to one Major Port.

@trig Wow. I never would have noticed the black center on those roundels. Thank you for that. And the links. And the explanation. (The Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen went from possibly the most boring flag of all time to a pretty cool one in one decade!)

Note that Free France may only declare war on Italy if it has declared war on another nation during the game (Free France NRS v3.2).

Regarding lend-lease, I do not think that it is explicitely stated in the v3 Rules, but some of the wording suggests that multiple lend-lease can be performed in the same turn, provided that it goes to eligible nations, according to each National Reference Sheet.

Specifically, Rule 7.9 mentions: “Major Powers may send lend-lease to other Major and Minor Powers. This can be either military units or IPPs.”

It also mentions in the “Production” subsection that you “Purchase the unit during the Production Phase and place in on the Production Chart with the receiving nations roundel underneath it.”

Finally, rule 11.4 mentions in the “Over Land Zones Delivery Process” that “The lend-lease stops in the first land zone in the receiving nations Home Country”.

The use of plural in all these rules suggests that there may be more than one receiving nation at a time.
