    Made an edit of the US purchase, justa miscalculation on transports needed so replaced one with a sub, hope that’s okay? Wasn’t affected by combat results or anything.

    Did I miss an opportunity to take Japan? It seemed quite open, I know the kazikaze might have taken out some of the warships carrying marines and the carrier could scramble a plane, but looked like there might be a 40-50% chance of succeeding. Didn’t go for it as I thought I was missing something and it was a trap.


  • It’s a crap shoot, but scramble a fig. Atleast the TUV-exchange looks theoretically better that way.

    Honestly I think I was just sloppy, thinking the ac could scramble 2 figs to Tokyo.


  • But sure, it looks a bit like a trap. That fleet would be dead, but a successful attack would definitely be worth it. A fail would however have severe negative effects.

    But sure, it looks a bit like a trap. That fleet would be dead, but a successful attack would definitely be worth it. A fail would however have severe negative effects.

    Yeah, it felt like it would decide the Pacific. Either Japan gets raided for 70 IPCs or the entire US Pacific fleet is wounded and vulnerable leaving the IJN free to do what they want.

    Didn’t see the marines as well. Only calculated with 1 inf, 1 art.

    The troops on the transport were safe, but the kamikaze could have targeted the cruisers and had a good chance of taking out 2 of the marines.

    Seemed a bit early in the game for a death or glory charge by the Allies, probably will be regreting not taking the chance later though. The burden of responsibility… :face_with_rolling_eyes:
