Commonwealth militia upgrade limits

  • Should the 1 per turn militia upgrade limit be read as 1 across all commonwealth nations, or 1 per each nation. I lean slightly towards the former based on strict reading of “turn” and the commonwealth turn rules, but it does raise some questions – why is this not called out when many other things are explicitly in the commonwealth rules? Does this similarly mean commonwealth nations share a combined 2/turn limit on specialist infantry, given they also use the “turn” wording?

    Thank you!

  • @ol-degenerate The way I read it they have listed the things that have shared per turn limits. Absent from that list is the Militia upgrade. Remember though that you have to be in a supply path to a factory in their home country. For the FEC that means the UK, which is by no means a given due to the German and Italian subs in the water. For ANZAC that’s a little easier since they have their own home country.

@ol-degenerate We have played allowing the UK, FEC and ANZAC to all upgrade one militia to Regular Infantry.

We also do not limit specialist infantry for the entire CW, so UK could build 2 Airborne, but so could FEC and ANZAC. Sounds like that is incorrect. However, each National Reference Sheet says 2 per turn.

The National Reference Sheets also state “CW share the same turn war status, technology marker, per-turn limits on technology development, per turn lend-lease limits as well as strategic rail and strategic naval limits.” The sheets do not mention build limits on specialist infantry nor on militia upgrades.

  • @sjelso If I was unclear I was saying that yes you can. It lists the things that have shared limits and those units are not included on that list.

  • @generalhandgrenade Saying same…:+1:

  • Gotcha, makes sense, thank you all!
