Proper Term for Playing Pieces

@trig This is why we have adapted the BBR VP conditions and made other changes. Attacking a neutral in Europe by the Axis only results in one dice before 1939. We found the penalties for attacking Neutrals limits the Axis and causes the same scenario over and over again. Anyway…trying to adapt for 2-player as best we can.

I’ve found that a couple sheets’ worth of paper “Light” and “Heavy” roundels works to disambiguate which tanks/cruisers/battleships/carriers/bombers are which. Not the prettiest option, but sure is the cheapest.

For instance:

Heavy roundels designate - Heavy Artillery (my homebrew artillery tech “Heavy Artillery Doctrine”, same stats except Costs +1, supports two infantry units), Heavy Tanks, Heavy Strategic Bombers, Heavy Cruisers, Heavy Carriers, Heavy Battleships

Light roundels designate - Light Tanks, Light Cruisers, Light Carriers, and I use “Light” roundels to indicate “Fast Battleships” as well, since they move faster than ‘standard’ battleships

you can use different colored chips underneath your G40 sculpts to represent different unit types. i do this. you will also need ports (minor, major port, minor major dockyard, minor and major shipyard, airfields, fortifications, coastal guns, in port markers, rail roads, damage markers, and many others to pay the game though.

Global War recently released Zombie and Atlantis expansions, has anyone tried either of those? They look like they would be lots of fun and a good way to spice up an otherwise traditional wargame scenario.

Home depot has some good options, I was able to get this HDX 65-Compartment 5-in-1 Small Parts Organizer for 7 bucks on sale. I should have gotten more.

Our group doesn’t allow jumping what so ever and we use the Fighting Railroads expansion. We require direct path of all rail lines and we give the freedom that any cross or Y section of the rail line has a switcher and we also play the different gauge rules.

I do not see why the rules wouldn’t allow it but I would assume building a rail line inside a territory itself would logically conclude that all rails lines inside that territory are now connected regardless.

Yes that looks good. I’m using the old Battleships from HBG for the Coastal Defence Ships. Nevada class for Allies ($3.45). Schleswig Holstein for Germany and Italy ($2.45). Fuso Early War Battleship for Japan ($3.45)
