@Stough
Not quite the original plan - but the failed attack in hunan had to be capitalized on. -
The ME is where my eyes are really popping. Just great. I can’t believe I never thought of that. I’ve always been so fixated on Suez and Indian Ocean. Why? I couldn’t tell ya.
-
@Stough
Gibbastion is the name of it - there is a step by step exact move sequence to it, but I treat it as more of a concept than a exact sequence of buys/moves. quite a few variations of it can be done based on G1 and J1. -
Well it’s just fantastic and exactly what the Allies need to get into the game early.
-
My east african moves are NOtT part of a traditional Gibbastion, for example.
-
I was skimming the boards to see if there was an easy to find counter. After 10+ years of playing this thing, this community has taken this to such a higher level. It’s ridiculous.
-
My nose is bleeding. LOL. Let me think this out for a bit. Dayemn.
-
@Stough I see it as utterly awesome!
-
Yep. The reason I like it so much is that it keeps that door open immediately. It really ties in with your style of play perfectly.
I might be able to chase off the navy …maybe; probably not. But only for a turn or two at best; which is great for this gibastion. But Gib will hold. Plus the last thing I want to do is jacking around with Gibraltar of all places.
I wonder what the pros do to counter it, yet at the same time, I am loathe to find out just yet, because I know as soon as I start looking at this game like that my old A and A experience is gone forever. Which is going to happen anyhow, but I’d like to hold onto the old style for a bit longer… say three more ass whupin’s longer.

This was what i was saying utterly awesome about.
-
This will be a bit, because how I approach this will determine the course of the game in the Atlantic.
A question, why won’t the game allow my transports in SZ95 to make a combat move into SZ98? The movement points are there; SZ96 is easily avoided… yet no can do.
-
@Stough
If you click the unit in SZ 95, and try to click 98, Triplea will try to route your ship through 96. Instead, click TT in 95, than drop the TT in 97, than click the TT again, and then click 98. -
LOL. It’s all down hill from here for the Italians.
It’s amazing how unnerving that one move was. So much better than Taranto.

Hahaha. More carnage. On to the next series of spine tingling Allied moves.
-
@Stough
Yeah. I read about it in one of the forums- it didn’t seem like it had a popular following. I don’t see why. The allies don’t have the forces to throw away at the beginning of the game. But they can’t let the axis run wild while they build up. This move holds onto said forces, while placing pressure on the axis. -
I’m with you, this is the better move- unless there is a counter that we don’t see right now (abundantly possible for me, less so for our).
LOL. Your moves are making washing the dishes look really good. I’m already mentally building Hitler’s bunker. “We’ll put the lamp over there, the radio and cake room will be …”
