A combo of your fleet build with the UK1, Russia stacking Amur, and the exposed transports in the money islands - was thinking that taking those out now was easier then giving you another turn to use them, before the US fleet got big enough to really threaten me. While I did not anticipate the SZ 7 NCM - I had it in my head to put 3 fighters in japan. Spent 4 hours last night playing it out. The Amur stack really threw a wrench in it. Got so focused on that, that I forgot about planing on planes for SZ 6 scramble. I must of ran about 25 battle calculators on how to avoid needing to attack 18 inf and 2 AA with 6 inf and a stack of planes.
I thought about waiting till J3. That was my loose initial plan going into this game. But the stack in Burma was getting concerning, your big bid in africa really limiting italy’s ability to do much in the western Med (as in - go for western med, and let UK go wild, or, knowing western africa is hard to hold anyways, dent UK in Egypt and just try to stall the allies, or maybye I should just abandon africa altogether) and I could not picture in my head what the pressure on SZ6 would be next round. Tried - but with limited experience, I had little to go on. So I went with the devil I knew instead of waiting for the devil I didn’t… -

@mainah well its tricky to coordinate japan for max efficiency…you did succeed in keeping the indian and chinese forces separate…I played out putting everything that could reach in yunnan but the japs would have killed it so that was good.
A scramble force would have deterred the air strike in 6…perhaps some of the airforce in kwangsi could have reached?
And you have diverted the US navy away from the DEI so you can feel more secure in the South Pac for a while.
Germany/Italy wont be thanking japan though!! :joy: :joy:

That yunan scenerio is exactly what I was aiming for.
And yes - the fighters that were for the scramble were to come from kwangsi. I just forgot about that when I was trying to figure out how to reinforce Manchuria.Lastly - yep. They are already very unhappy. The italians have switched from wine to beer in hopes of blending in with the anglo saxon invaders!

@mainah strafing 111 is fine…the bb can soak a hit and subs can take the other damage…the ideal is 110 cleared and 111 left with a wounded Uk bb. I wouldnt have built a big fleet in 109 if more of your air was in range though!
