    Looks like KJF. I used to redirect reinforcements against a Russian move to the border But with experience and BM penalties (convoy & Mongol rule) for an unprovoked DOW against Japan, I’ll take my chances. After my income jumps, I can quickly muster the troops and planes to retake anything you may take in the north. But unless China/India can threaten Japan in Yunnan, I’m betting Russia won’t act alone.
    Pre-staging the massive Japanese first strike is a complex, time consuming chore. Since it includes defending as many transports as possible afterwards. Just think that Japan in real life had to also allocate war material and supplies and cargo ships and fuel.

    @FMErwinRommel please use 2nd file…decided that an advanced UK army might be too tempting a target for you to annihilate!
    KJF has definite advantages, but cant afford to ignore germany either.
    Yeah that first japanese attack is very tricky, I normally decide that 1 or 2 tts lost is worth the gain, against leaving a cv and fighters in a dangerous position against the 1-2-3 US/UK/ANZAC punch.

    Its not what I expected to do. Didn’t can open or NCM into Vichy N. Africa. Germany doesn’t need Italy to take E. Poland and risk losing the tank. AB in Gibr well worth the investment. Allies can shuttle planes and scramble. But not against sub attack on UK tt. Wise move to undo the UKP move to Burma. Japan has too many planes that can reach. Would have reduced air support against other targets, but would have been tempting to seriously weaken Indian garrison.

    I intended to take the 2 other isles, but didn’t want to lose both tt’s. The Italian fleet is too weak to protect them from an air only attack. Considered building an AB in Greece. But, that would leave nothing to build up the amphib assault, which currently is inadequate for the job. I hate to get the Luftwaffe so heavily involved. Going down that rabbit hole may doom my game. The dice will decide.

    Like you did with Russia, I also started putting Russian mobile and air in Bela in my games; as they can destroy an advance by the Finnish army, without actually having to garrison Karelia. The Luftwaffe and infantry could destroy garrisons in Karelia.

    @FMErwinRommel An interesting placement of german air…supporting the italian push for egypt at the cost of fast expansion into russia. I was also pleasantly surprised to see no german sub in 125…a nice little bonus for russia!

    Its an annoyance of the game that even with a max build each turn for russia and placement of all troops towards the front line East Poland cant be contested…and a stand in belarus is impossible as well even without the luftwaffe providing support.

    Now to see the spread of Imperial Japan…always a nasty jump in axis capability 😞

    Took extremely long to map out the ten attacks from multiple starting locations. Most targets are important because of the strategic value or the N.O. values that Japan would gain or deny the enemy. Made some changes in builds from prior games and my opponents always fortify differently, so its never a fixed game plan by turn 3. Got it planned out, will implement this evening.
