    I always give a cheer when I see Marti roll a 1 and my sub takes down a DD with it. And of course disappointment when its your sub taking my DD down with it. I was alarmed by the quick growth in Allied amphib capacity in the Atlantic, but then realized that you had unleashed Italy to do as it pleases.

    SBR went as planned and retook Norm, but Arch was a disaster. My attack wasn’t overwhelming, but I rolled less than half the hits and you rolled twice the hits. Chose not to go another round, so retreated. But maybe I should have gambled and stayed. AA misses in Norm and Russia made up for the double hit in Russia last turn. SBR in Russia is worth it even with hits. Ger player builds mech to get to frontline quickly, while Rus builds inf. Mech attack is 1/4 of cost, while inf defense is 2/3 of cost. That’s not cost effective for Ger. SBR with 5 bombers, average 1 AA hit, max damage is +8 TUV.

    And although you ‘lost’ in Arch, it was an overall TUV gain for you… a pretty good round for the pesky germans…

    @FMErwinRommel And another sub rolling a 1! subs are defending like mad men this game…was just glad your sub in 111 couldnt hit this time.

    This turn took a lot of playing about with…was trying various different scenarios that would give me an advantage without losing income…in the end the best move I could come up with was the one that didnt change to muchI 🙄

    Counting both sub battles, my subs rolled 1 for 5 on your turn, which was just average. The potential for the attacker to miss several rounds like you did in sz111 and a sub to sink a DD and amphib tt is a possibility in the Pacific isles. Now that would be costly, taking out a tt and troops and ending an invasion.
    You are addicted to the U.S. income of 10 points from France. So until Germ can overpower you in the Chan, I don’t see you leaving the gravy train that lets you threaten Nor & Berlin at the same time. Moving to sz91 spreads the threat, but at this point, you don’t want to face the powerful Italian fleet with its double scramble (Ha). Unless the Euro Axis can control Gibr, its almost impossible for them to overpower sz91 with just bombers and subs.
