  • @trulpen The best way to dissuade Japan from attacking the China stack is by having enough offensive power so that he can’t put a good stack of infantry next to it. The art build makes it virtually impossible for him to stand toe-to-toe in an adjacent territory. You have one less unit than the inf build, but he is not going to be able to threaten it for the foreseeable future.

    Do review the history. He intentionally skipped the Hunan attack on J1. The only reason I see for this would be if he is planning on skipping China and instead focusing on moving his Japanese units into Russia and the Middle East. India, when attacked, will be an amphibious landing. I don’t see him getting enough forces to Burma any time soon to survive a counterattack by India.

    In general, yes I agree with @Arthur-Bomber-Harris, but in this case, Japan cannot stack people anywhere near Yunnan, except FIC. Unfortunately, China can’t attack FIC so maximizing attack is not useful. If the 7 units in Hopei attempt to move down, we will crush them regardless of what we buy. Now that would vacate Yunnan for the round, but we still get the +6 and artillery buy to strike back at whatever units the Japanese attack with 2 rounds from now.

    But for now, we need to maximize boots on the moon…no that’s Space Force…boots on the ground to make Japan’s attack as difficult as possible.

    From z101 or EUS air can’t attack Gibraltar since all their movement is expended. From z89 they can, since there’s 1 move left. At the same time air may land if the fleet is attacked. Simple as that.

  • This is my proposed purchases and CMs.

    I choose to use only 1 inf for Shan state instead, saving the inf for more defence of and pressure from Yunnan. I’m ok with 33 % risk of not getting Shan state, since anything there will only be obliterated anyway whether or not there are 1 or 2 inf at stake.

    I thought about hitting British Somalialand, but considered that we for one thing lack enough force and for the other prefer to take out the italian des in z96.


  • Oh, yes, saving 3 IPC for next turn with UK-EU. Think that’s wise. We only need inf in Cairo atm and an inf in UK is rather useless without any german fleet and amphibious capability to worry about.

    Considered an art buy for UK-Pac, but believe another mech is more useful here.

  • Despite the terrible CHDS this went rather well. All missed during battle round 1 in z96, but luckily enough UK didn’t lose any air despite of it.

    Shan state went as good as it could. I’m very glad I chose to save that inf there, despite the group (represented by @surfer) presenting another opinion.

    Now I believe all NCM are clear except by India/Yunnan. This has to be scrutinized, so please chip in. We can’t afford any cheap mistakes here.

    I believe the Suez channel is very safe with this setup.

  • This is my suggestion.

    I really want the mechs in Yunnan and as much UK-land in there as possible. Believe the aa is best served there as well, since we may buy new ones in Calcutta if we wish for it. I’m not sure about this though, and actually am inclined to move back one aa to the capital.

    Found some tweaks for UK-EU, namely missed to move back the mech to London. No biggie, but that should be done.

    Anything that stays in z109/110 is likely dead. That’s why I didn’t take out the italian aa with a fig, since it would’ve had to land on a carrier in z110. Also find it wise to move back the surviving big ships to z106 anticipating a clamp-down in z91 next turn.

    2 subs go to z92 since they’re not exposed to des anymore. They will be a pain in the ass for Italy, which will have to invest in fleet now. That’s good, despite their immense income.

    1 sub goes to z109 since I believe it’s better there than in z91 atm, putting pressure on the lone german tr. Now G also has to build atleast 1 des, which is something we should like very much.

    We can’t hit the german sub even next turn, but doesn’t matter, since it will be a rather defensive force for now anyway.

    @trulpen Looks very good in the atlantic…if the germans stay with their air, even with a few extra italian inf and air, then the luftwaffe will be decimated keeping russia safe. If they run away then gib is back in allied hands, and an enormous fleet is ready to strike anywhere from Rome to Norway meaning germany has to spend in the west and not in the East.

    The Us fleet in caro looks exposed to me…any reason why the uk bb didnt move up to help out? And calcutta will probably fall next turn with a purchase of a NB and AB in FIC, completely bypassing the yunnan stack. The jap fleet in sz6 may take out the blocker dd and then park in midway or hawaii threatening a fast pac victory if not guarded against, although it cant do that, attack the caro fleet and stage for india I dont think.

    On the whole though, looks fairly solid! 👍
