If anyone is willing to play Axis and Allies D-Day with Low Luck, please let me know. I’m open to playing with either side. We will not be playing with any other house rules.
Axes and allies over the phone

Has anyone played axes and allies game over the phone with a friend because of distance?

@General-Hicks Welcome to the forum. I moved your topic to the “Find Online Players” - category.
For removing any distance problems, most users here play online using the TripleA-software.

@Panther Thanks!

Hey @General-Hicks, while I haven’t ever played over the phone, I am slowboating a 1940 Pacific game via e-mail/discord (for rolls) using the actual board/pieces and its pretty fun. let me know if you’re interested in a 1940 Europe game or a Revised game, if you own them.

@General-Hicks, by playing over phone, do mean by text message or email? Sounds like a neat idea.

@J-o-C Me and my friend each have a bored setup at our places and when we both find time to play some A&A We call each other and talk over the phone and just tell the other one our combat, purchase new units, and everything else so both our boards match up. We each roll our own dice and tell the other how many attacks we get. (this part takes 100% honesty). we usually only ever do 1-2 full rounds of play, before we put the game on hold and play again later when we find time.
-
That’s cool. I’ll have to try it sometime. The only problem is, I don’t have a lot of space to keep a game set up for a long time.
-
yeah space usually is a problem for me to. me and my friend are currently trying to make a hidden axes and allies game since we have two separate boards so each player only sees his units with some exceptions
-
That’s an interesting idea. I guess that way, you can’t see every attack coming, which would make it more realistic.
-
@J-o-C Yes each team never gets to see the other sides purchase new units and many non-combats. any territories that the axes and allies have touching you have to revel the units but anything else is hidden
-
I’ll have to try that too! It would be harder in person, but could probably be done if everyone kept a paper log of what units they have in each territory. Maybe.
