• Some neutral countries are pro-allies, some pro-axis and some strict-neutral. Has anyone run a game or have rules in place that allow all neutral countries to be ‘pro’ for whichever side, whoever gets to them first?

    If so, have you had to change anything for balance?

    yea Otzea 1939 has Degaulles neutrals on it. On triplea . Gonna add to house rules for global soon

    Optional Adds “Charles de Gaulle Neutrals”. Discussed in detail here:https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/28180/should-we-make-better-rules-for-invadable-neutrals-1940/4?page=1 Check the box in “Map Options” before game start. This will put All Players at war with the True Neutrals. You will need to Player Enforce correct “Neutral” behavior. Neutral Ships don’t affect naval at all unless you are attacking them. Neutral Navies are represented with a “Neutral_Navy” unit placed in their Home country. You will need to Edit the appropriate number of Ships Before your Combat Move.

    Any Ships that are not destroyed will be at war with All Powers, so you will need to use Edit accordingly. When attacking a neutral, the units written here are immediately placed in the attacked territory as well as any territories alligned to them (triplea does this automatically). The opposing team will pick a player Player Enforced to represent those forces and collect income from any of their territories you failed to take. So, after combat, use edit to change any surviving units and the territory itself, to the Player of your choice.

    The neutrals which have more than one territory are: Mongolia (use OOB rules for this one) Portugal: Portugal, Portuguese Giunea, Angola, Mozambique Spain: Spain, Rio de Oro The new neutral setup is: Venezuela: 6 infantry Colombia: 1 infantry Ecuador: 1 infantry Peru: 1 infantry Bolivia: 1 infantry Paraguay: 1 infantry Uraguay: 1 infantry Argentina: 6 infantry SZ 66 (alligned with Argentina): 1 cruiser Chile: 4 infantry Mozambique: 1 infantry Angola: 1 infantry Portugal: 4 infantry, 1 artillery, 1 AA gun SZ 104 (alligned with Portugal): 1 cruiser, 1 transport Spain: 10 infantry, 1 artillery, 1 AA gun, 1 tank, 1 fighter SZ 92 (alligned with Spain): 1 destroyer SZ 91 (alligned with Spain): 1 destroyer Switzerland: 6 infantry Sweden: 6 infantry, 1 artillery, 1 AA gun SZ 114 (alligned with Sweden): 1 destroyer Turkey: 8 infantry, 1 artillery, 1 AA gun, 1 fighter SZ 99 (alligned with Turkey): 1 destroyer Arabia: 6 infantry Afghanistan: 4 infantry “Charles de Gaulle Neutrals Modified”.     Any thoughts to making all Neutrals ‘pro’ whoever gets to them first? We’re playing around with this idea. But don’t want to negatively affect game balance one way or the other.

    Here’s what I have in my game. Not g40 though.
    Just giving you an idea. All strict can be attacked. Theres ground and a few naval ships on each one. Mongolia is pro Russia though no matter what.
    My game starts in 41. So you may have to tweak.
    Good luck with what ever you try.

    That is a very interesting concept. I’ll have to take a look at something like that for G40. Thanks :)

    Plus a few strict neutrals have resource tokens and a few oil derricks worth more money too. Like Congo has a uranium token worth 3 icps.

    Resource tokens isn’t something that we’ve used yet. But sounds really interesting to take a look at. Really looking to take the game to the next level all the way around. I ordered a custom map, Intrepid’s G40 map IIRC. I have more game pieces coming in from HBS and 50 flight stands. We’re looking at adding some of the HR’s like radar stations, pill boxes (have to find some type of counter for that one) and military bases as well as victory tokens and such.

    If you have a link to resource tokens I’d like to take a look at it. And any links for counters and such would be appreciated as well. This may really be a good way to spice up Neutrals and such.

    Resource token values.
    Worth 1 Icp each. Built in AA D@1
    WHEAT
    OIL DERRICK

    Worth 2 Icps each. Built in AA D@1
    COPPER
    RUBBER
    IRON
    REFINERIES Built in AA D@2

    Worth 3 Icps each Built in AA D@1
    URANIUM
    If you have an AA Gun in theses territories with tokens you can D@2 but not use both AA guns.

    These all can be SBRed up to 3 damage each. Lose income for them until repaired
    and refineries up to 6 damage. Don’t repair refineries
    suffer a -1 movement for ground or naval or planes or nothing.
    Have a chart for this.
    Also all of these can be convoy raided up to 3 also.
    This represents all transporting vessels at sea.
    Remember most of these resource tokens are in normal territories too.

    Start out slow with this. You don’t want to keep chasing it.

    Pill box counter ? Can SBR them ?
