    I should have had the option to scramble in the FIC battle – that’s why I bought the fighter. Scrambling would have prevented the bombard there.

    I guess I’ll just let it go this time, but keep that in mind for the future. In other words, yes the fighter would have been obviously lost, but there was a different reason to scramble there. Thx!

    I figured so no worries, we can let that one stand. Yes, that one fighter could fight off 5 bombards by itself and then die a hero, so it would depend on the number of rounds it could roll in defense versus eliminating 18 pips of offense (3 hits in essence). So, really, doing the math, it would be smart to scramble there, since it would be over 4 defensive rounds of pips for the fighter. :)
