    Re: [Painted pieces](Expansion rules)

    Hi,

    Thanks for all comments.

We started painting the game pieces simply to get a better overview during the intense battles that take place - especially when playing G40.

Our aircraft carriers are mounted with a magnetic tape on the flight deck, as are all fighter and fighter bomber units at the center of the undercarriage.

All panzer units, armored units, trucks (scale 1:285) and some fighters and bombers (scale 1:600) are made of pewter. This makes the casting extremly detailed.

Some infantry units such as the Waffen-SS Obersturmbanführer unit and
Waffen-SS Fallschirmjäger unit are from various producers (scale 1:72).

We have our next A&A Global 1940 Tournament in mid April 2020 - lasting for three days. This is the last tournament in the season October 2019 - April 2020. Next season starts up in October 2020.

We are inspired by the Live TV streaming that some of you use. If possible we will try to copy this procedure.

Otherwise we will take pictures of each round. This should give an impression of how to use the Expansion rules - especially the major battles that include the use of entire panzer armies, Soviet Army Corps, Waffen-SS Armies, paratroopers and other hard hitting elite units.

We can recommend that you try to use the Expansion rules - step by step.

We will of course answer any questions concerning rules, use of units and eventually over all strategies.

The famous battles and plans of WWII are great fun to re-construct - as are the options to change the course of History.

    Excample with G40:
During our last tournament the Germans had planned Operation Typhoon. As the German units on The Eastern Front fought their way through the heavily defended Soviet positions, the way to Moscow was marked by scorched earth tactics as the Soviets destroyed their factories in Leningrad and Ukraine.
In round Early 1943 the German Frontline units were dug in outside Moscow - leaving the Russians no chance of pushing back the enemy.
Moscow was heavily defended with elite Guard infantry units, Soviet Army Corps and two complete Tank Armies.
The Germans launched a few minor offensives in the area to try and encircle Moscow - but the Russians managed to keep a corridor open to the east so the retreating Soviet forces from Siberia could enter and reinforce the defence of the Soviet Capital.

It was impressive to watch the entire Eastern Front with all the Waffen-SS units, Panzer Armies and Wehrmacht units opposing the massive and stubborn Soviet defences.

All I can say is: try it !

    The Captain
