    Italy needed a cash boost so made sense…Germany will suffer a sharp downturn this turn though!

    I was a bit cross with how much british armour I had to put into rostov though…any less and you might of thought about using italian air to clear the way…as it happened I’m not sure you would have done it anyway!



  • Germany will indeed lose income this turn. Hope to be able to occupy Rostov in force so I won’t be shut out again. Axis now have more units than the Allies, with Germany 1st and Japan 2nd in both units and TUV. Germany increased by 17 units and Japan by 12 units. Italy probably wouldn’t have made an air only attack on Rostov if UK had more than 1 unit. Taking out 3 Brit tanks will soften my lose of income.

  • Headline: Surprise bomber attack on Gibraltar destroys the entire RAF squadron. Base commander demoted for not posting guards. I loaded Rostov with troops. But it left my other territories slightly understaffed, so I chose to abandon W. Ukr for a turn, in order not to weaken the Romania rapid response team. Even tho I don’t expect UK to go enmasse into Greece. Germany is building and pouring masses of troops into S. Fra and N. Italy and you are building masses of troops and have many transports. So this will be a massive battle or stalemate.

  • @FMErwinRommel Yes its all getting complicated now…one false move or a bad set of dice in a critical area could be fatal.

    US Pacific fleet can move to rebase in pearl now with your main fleet so far away.

    Germany distracted enough that the RAF can leave Russia to reinforce India and US picking up the S Americas to keep income up.



  • It’s depressing how the Allies have taken over the game. I was sure that I was steadily overpowering you, even though my total income hadn’t exceeded yours Germany pushed to the gates of Moscow a long time ago, and has significantly more income. So economically I don’t need Moscow. But UK forces are too strong for Germany to swing south and invade the Mideast. Japan captured China and DEI, sank the U.S. and ANZAC fleets, controls the Pacific and has high income. Yet, on the verge of capturing India and finally expanding the war on Russia, UK’s massive fighter force flies down to overpower the Japanese. UK has 23 planes in Mideast/Russia/India, more than all the planes that Japan started the game with. You were able to fly from Moscow > India in a single turn, because you conquered Afghan and could fly over it.



  • Germany has 8 subs in the N. Atlantic and 5 in the Med, which would take hits for the bombers. But I couldn’t afford to build the usual bomber a turn. Now with 2 air bases guarding sz91 and 92, its impossible.

  • @FMErwinRommel Yes, as long as attacking the neutrals with overwhelminbg force can be done, there are lots of payoffs for the allies…like the 1 turn plane shuffle between moscow and india and the double airbase in the med.

    Becaquse india is now heavily reinforced you have tough decisions to make with your pacific fleet…separated it can be defeated in detail…concentrated leaves less freedom of movement…



  • Turned out to be a big mistake to build infantry last turn instead of mech in FIC and Malaya. Now I have to defend their move to Shan, while also protecting Burma, with my planes against your planes.
