    UK ROUND2
    I’ll start from London outward. I’m expanding money from the neutrals (sometimes I like to give those to the US for forward deployment). Germany has a small navy, but still bigger than mine. To offset, I’m focusing on small plane builds. If Germany doesn’t recognize that and advances, I can forward deploy 2 carriers and land existing planes on it. The goal is to keep up with the German navy such that a single purchase can even the odds, so to speak, should he get ahead of me.

    Give what I have, it’s pretty clear the UK isn’t focusing on Germany at the moment.

    Cairo sees no threat from Italy. Morocco is screwed, but that’s less of a tactical advantage than Cairo, so I’m okay with the trade off. The US will have to start small purchases to keep Italy in check should they expand beyond Morocco or threaten the Americas with their navy.

    I placed a factory in S Saudi Arabia and took E Iran. Mechs in South Africa. The goal is to put more units in Africa each round than Italy can. I’ll out-produce Italy till their off the continent. I still suspect a strike into Spain, which I’ve seen dawg do before. That does gain more ICs, but at battle losses vs. neutrals instead of your opponents. The dice can sometimes be painful, but that can be mostly mitigated with overwhelming force, a luxury when attacking neutrals.

    Indian forces are lacking, and the ANZAC fleet was destroyed. The goal is to shore up the fleet for Anzac island retakes. India can fly a plane or so per round there. There is little chance of rebuilding the fleet in the short term though UK Middle Eastern forces should never be discounted from Japan’s calculations. I could in a single turn land 2 transports + 2 inf + 2 cruiser shots into the Pacific, and with Italy not threatening Cairo, that’s a real possibility.

    Make sure you’re prepaid for the sudden about-face of the Indian fleet as Japan. It’s also doubly problematic for Italy too. The UK can swing its 2 cruisers, dd, sub, 2 tt and buy 6 units in the Med.

    ANZAC ROUND 2

    I purchased 3 cruisers. It’s great defense plus increases my transport capacity. I am thin on ground troops on Australia, but I have rarely seen an invasion of ANZAC be successful when India is still hanging around. It’s rare, and sometimes becomes a lost cause for the Pacific Axis if they try it.

    I’ve attempted it and lost many times. It can also end in a stalemate where the top two factories get taken, but there’s nothing left to take the capital.

    Sorry for missing a few! Each game I play I don’t remember a grand strategy and just “figure it out” every time I open a file.

    HISAICHI ROUND 3
    Good maneuvering and prior purchasing. I don’t think Russia will be able to hold their little piece of Mongolia, but I’m still going to try and make it expensive for you.

    China still feels good vs. Hisaichi, but India hasn’t materialized as an issue for them.

    My goal is to have incoming US pressure change that equation.

    UK ROUND 3
    I’m sticking to my plan of overwhelming Italy. It’s starting to take hold to the East. Hopefully you don’t have enough money to effectively push back. The US will have to keep the Dutch capital in mind, as Italy has transports that can hit South America in 2 rounds.

    I think another factory in Saudi Arabia and 1 in Iran will bring my deployment power to 16 for the region.

    ANZAC ROUND 3
    I’m continuing strong naval builds. The goal is to prevent a naval breakthrough that can threaten my weekly defended factories. The cruiser buys prevent an air raid from destroying my transport capacity.

    DUTCH ROUND 3
    The Dutch look strong. I don’t see an offensive that can take my capital any time soon. Yamamoto’s strong naval buys appear to be concerned about holding off the US. With such purchases, I don’t foresee you taking the Dutch capital this game. If you start to gear up for an invasion now, the US will be close enough to mess with any required naval movements. I think it was a mistake to give up on the Dutch capital, or to think that you can take it with existing forces. This could be the moment where I think the game has changed.

    Since ANZAC and the Dutch are holding on to the DEI, it means UK money can freely be spent into Africa. It’s going to take luck for Germany to push into Russia far and fast enough to offset that. In the short term I anticipate some gains for Thai against the UK, and some by Hisaichi vs Russia, but overall feel like I’m beginning to get the upper hand.

    US ROUND 3

    I’m continuing my BB/CC/DD build via Hawaii, and have a stream of 2 TTs with 4 inf/elite/marines. I want to maintain pressure on the Japanese navy by pushing forward. I’m supporting the UK DD/TT, and I think you don’t have any chance of destroying them.

    One would of caution would be to make sure Japan ALWAYS has the ability to transport a land unit for an amphibious assault, otherwise you won’t have the option to retake any island you lose. I’ve made this mistake plenty of times myself. If Japan has no ability to retake anything, it allows the US to take more islands quicker, as they don’t need to be concerned about having enough for defense on Japan’s turn.

    I also expanded into South America in a big way. It’ll probably start turning towards Italy soon, as Anzac and the Dutch appear strong.

    i figured that after a few rounds it becomes my problem.
    i do think i payed to much attention to what you were saying. (dont get me wrong its great info.) but i based my strategies on what you were saying you might do but did other things. i have to pay attention to what wont help me when i purchase. (like the factory in japan.) it will free some money up for me. the hardest thing is japan stopping america. i no i messed up on the dutch factory. i went for cash instead of focusing on the factory.
    We’ll see but, i feel you have this game already.
    hopefully i can last a couple more turns.
