• Hello everyone!

    I have been playing only a few games with friends, but reading the forums I have come across many terms that I did not understand. Some of them I did (reading history books). Is there a glossary for these things that I did not find? If not, maybe we could make a sticky thread… Anyhow, things I have come across that I do not understand, or others may find useful:

    A&A- Axis and Allies
    A+3.9- Axis and Allies Global 40 with the latest Larry Harris update

    @Wizard

    Hi Wizard. Welcome to the site.
    KFG=?
    KGF=Kill Germany First
    Taranto raid=UK attacking SZ 97 with most, if not all, of their forces that are in range round 1

    I don’t think there’s a glossary, although I’ve seen a few posts over the years that address abbreviations. You might try a search. A lot of people will use the Naval abbreviations, CV=Carrier, CA=Cruiser…etc. Transport is one that seems to have more than one that is used. I just go with trprt or tranny.

    DOW=Declaration of War
    Strafe=Attack and then retreat
    Fodder=Canon fodder
    OOB=Original Out of Box or something to that effect. Means the original/non modded game. Vanilla can also refer to it.
    OOL=Order of Loss. What order you want to take casualties in play by forum battles.
    PBF=Play by Forum
    SBR=Strategic Bombing Raid

    Idk, you probably know most of those : ) Just follow your intuition and ask if you’re not sure :)

    I’m sure others will clue you in better than I can. :)

  • @barnee Thanks! I knew some, but not others. Maybe it was KJF? Which I would guess is kill Japan first…
