Scenario B would be correct. The rules specifically say that while it is legal to onload troops onto friendly transports, they must onload on your turn, and may only be offloaded on your next turn. The U.K may not offload the troops for you or you may not hop scotch using a transport.

I see so much talk about how the allies need a bid to win (G40 2nd ed). I don’t see how the allies can lose. With good play, axis is always defeated by allied player. Again, Larry Harris makes sure allies win. It is closer for sure. But allies cannot lose with solid play. I wonder why so many here think allies are lost? I play first many games and think axis are totally dominant, but after time and many more plays, allies cannot be defeated with good play. Where is the justification that axis always wins without bid?

I only play with people I know around me and also with the AI. I have not played against experienced players such as at Triple A or with email yet. I want to do so though.

@Panzer-V I also play solely with a group of friends and find that contrary to the consensus on the forums, the Allies are hardly at a massive disadvantage. This could simply be as a result of playing with a group of equally skilled opponents who know how you think, therefore granting an immediate advantage to the defender, the Allies.
Everything changes when you’re playing an opponent you don’t know.

What I’ve seen and experienced it’s rather like the Axis can’t lose OOB.
Unless they totally screw up, like in one of my first games when I went for a grand plan of buying a mIC and airbase in Romania G1 planning for Caucasus invasion through the Black Sea… only to having to build those transports in the Baltic Sea instead. Total failure and a lost game in like round 4. :duck:

The allies can’t defend the most vulnerable capitals, which are Moscow and Calcutta. Once those two capitals have fallen, it’s unlikely that the allies can maintain their edge. Arguably, London is more vulnerable than Moscow but Moscow is a bigger swing and very much harder to take back.

They can lose. Even mildly careless behavior can cause either team to lose—even with a huge bid or starting advantage. That’s just what kind of game this is. Have a great player play until Turn 6, then put a first time player in their seat and give them control of the other side to watch how quickly this swings.
