Um. I thought the comment about scramble and attack on DD was for SZ101 against US.
If you are attacking with 2 subs against UK DD, then I would max scramble to protect the DD.
I never saw the combat to kill the UK DD. You’d have 1 in 4 chance to hit, and then the aircraft would kill both subs.
I’ll try to clarify what actions I took regarding attacks on the Destroyers and the bombing of London only. Pls let me know if this looks right to you.
Ok, scratch my clarification. When I ran a simulation, I again learned something new about sub battles. Pls change my attack on the UK DD and London bombing as follows:
3 subs and 2 ftrs attack your UK Destroyer
4 bombers and 2 ftrs go into London
Pls tell me how you would respond (ie number of scramblers and interceptors).
We can keep all rolls that have been made the same.

Yes, we’re good. I think you found a good attack. I don’t think it is worth it to scramble as I’ll need the fighters later.
No scramble.
Yah scrambling would be a bad idea. What I didn’t know before is that I would be allowed to take subs as losses because of your DD, but your losses would be in ftrs. And if you launched max of 4 interceptors your odds would only be 50-50.

Ok, I’m pretty good, but one minor point. At the end of the turn you have two phases of edits. The first I follow. The second involves buying an extra Tac ftr and several inf moves
2 Tac -> France, Remove 1 Tac ftr W. Germany + 1 inf + 2 mob inf Germany == good
Mv mob inf from Poland to Germany == good
this is the problem move
Add 2 art + inf to W. Germ, rm 2 art from Normandy
I would just remove one inf in W. Germ and call it good, but making sure you are ok with that.
Sorry, I’ve been slow this week, several items had to get finished at work.
…with all the edits and misunderstanding on how sub attacks in our specific situation work I just did not think much about my purchase decision. Each time it was more of an afterthought. I was trying to just get the bombing and DD attacks clear. I mean who wants to put a lot of thought into something that may not matter anyway. Anyway, you seem very fair minded so maybe we can come up with a good compromise. Obviously my purchase is based on making a 3rd attempt on SeaLion while previously it was based on defending the Eastern Front.
