@FMErwinRommel The point of the attack in malta was to kill the bomber, which is why I left him instead of the inf. If I had killed the bomber first round I would have retreated both bombers away. So me having one bomber die was actually a very good result for you…max def would have saved my dead bomber. We can edit yr inf back and my bomber…or leave things as they are…your choice! :relaxed:

Made an edit because I got my fighter attacks mixed up…planes from the phillipines carrier should have attacked java and landed in sz 42…planes from the borneo carrier should have attacked malaya and landed in sz 42 as well.
A good delaying tactic in the DEI…should have enough manpower next turn to collect them though

Not a good round. I shouldn’t have gone for Carolines, just over 50% chance of winning and just under 50% draw or loss. That left Australia at risk from Japan in Java. ANZ had to take Caroline instead of DNGuinea and build defensively. I gambled with a fighter even odds against CR and transport, as the reward would have been good even if it was only a draw. But I lost.
