Uneven dice. The battle that would give me the most trouble if it failed, was about 50/50 odds, and it rolled the worst. I rolled 1 for 6, despite attack of 18 (1/3 of expected) and you rolled average rounded down. I had to retreat. I wanted to sink your 2 transports off Japan, leaving you only 1 transport. My other battles rolled better, but could have taken another hit here and there and not affected the outcome.
The edits were because I couldn’t click on Gibraltar to move ground units from Gibraltar. I clicked on the Gibraltar infantry, whose icon was superimposed on sz92 ship icons. But I couldn’t grab the marine, because other icons were on top of it. Finally, after adding the marine to Morocco by edit, the marine from Gibraltar appeared on top of the sz 92 icons. So then I was able to click and remove it. Go figure.
In the battle of E. Persia, I overlooked your transported troops from Africa and the 2 bombers in FIC. I probably would have retreated to Persia instead. That would have saved my planes to defend Caucasus.

@FMErwinRommel yes was playing around with variations on where to place the transports…loading everything into sz 6 was simultaneously the likeliest to be attacked and the best defended!
I almost forgot the FIC bombers as well…looked at the odds…didn’t like them even with the seaborne troops…then realised my bombers could reach and it changed the whole outcome.

I read a posting in the forum a while back, about the 2-stage Sea Lion, going to Scotland and then reloading. So ever since, while playing the Allies, I always build artillery in London, so combined with planes, I have offensive power to retake Scotland with the least number of ground troops. Having enough U.S. planes to weaken or destroy them first, is best. 7 new bombers are waiting their turn to smash you. Your bombers prevent me from getting my fleet closer to the German fleet.
