Terrible dice in Volg. Had 61% chance of win & 3% draw. You rolled above average & I rolled below average on round 1. If I retreated, my tanks would have been killed. So, I continued since you only had defense of 12 left. But you rolled 4-for-4 and wiped me completely out on round 2. TUV-31, battle calc said average -5. Weakens Moscow defense. I expected to lose just my ground units and kill all yours and hopefully your fighter. I also rolled 1/3 below average in W. India, but still wiped out the Japanese in round 1.

ANZ can’t do much, could gamble on taking Celebes 50/50, since Japan can’t retake it on its next turn. Will take a fresh look at the Pacific. Need something dramatic to turn the tide of the war. Enjoying being outdoors now that the heat wave has broken. Will take my turn this evening.

Well at least I got lucky dice this time and took Celebes. That will offset what Japan gains from taking India. But the bad Brit dice in Volg, which cost me all 3 fighters, without downing your fighter, increases the odds that you will take Moscow; unless the dice favor me.

@FMErwinRommel The odds were slightly more in my favour than yours as a draw would have left me in control so that was a bit of a blow…as you say I will compensate by picking up India!
Decided not to attack moscow this turn…A good defence by you would leave me with no army or a seriously reduced luftwaffe…whereas I can add 7-9 units a turn to my army as opposed to your 2 russians and wait until numbers are crushing.
