@J-o-C Thanks! You could use pieces from other board games like risk, I’ve used those before. If not, you could designate certain pieces by a colored chip. For example you could use American pieces with a red chip for the Spanish pieces.
Cool Axis & Allies (80s Laser edition)
Not sure what the house rules will be yet but here’s the cover art. Maybe there’s a Delorean involved somehow?
Cool is right ! Although it reminds me more of the 70s and Disco Inferno
Pink - USSR
Purple - Germany
White - UK
Indigo - Japan
Sky Blue -USA
Somebody will have to design a new map.

Triggering another notification. Sorry @barnee!
These are not my house rules I found them on HBG site. Global Crisis I by Gallentine Games. Copy write is 1999, 2011. It’s a complete redesign of A&A 1987 USING ONLY THE ORIGIONAL COMPONENTS AND SIMPLY ADDING RULES AND A PRODUTION GRAPH. It increases realism without much increase in complexity. Anyone interested? Need to read this to believe it. I don’t think Larry would like this! Goes to show just how popular Classic really is.
With that cover art it looks like the new unit added to the game could be a Tron light cycle!
@ADC-Grey My post here is tongue-and-cheek. I bit of a joke but it would still be kinda cool to see A&A in an 80s “Laser” color theme.
I was trying to introduce Global Crisis I. Have you ever looked at it?
