    ANZAC was supposed to build and move defensively when Japan moved in force to the Carolines. Guess you saw thru my feint. The Luftwaffe will ensure that Italian army Alex is safe. Italian army Ethiopia was afraid to go towards Egypt, least UK carrier planes support a small Egyptian attack. Altho it’s tricky trying to weaken an expected attack without actually winning the battle and unintentionally leaving the territory you’re defending.

    @FMErwinRommel I was fairly sure the caroline island move was a feint…with only 1 transport there was no beachhead to made that I couldnt knock out. Luftwaffe have a few turns before the eastern front opens up to help the Italians, making that cairo factory an unsafe build. Activating persia turn 1 is more important I feel.

    I’ve seen others do Persia on UK1, but I’ve never tried it. Gets you a head start on support to Russia or block Italy from Mideast. But tradeoff is not wiping out Italians in Ethiopia or Tobruk. I always go for Sumatra, like you did.

    I didn’t want to put too many troops into Yunnan, since China would just retake it. I hit every unit twice, but you rolled 3/4 and I had to take a fighter as a hit in order to take Yunnan. You placed the Chinese well. I wanted to attack Szech by air, but didn’t want to lose 4 planes.

    Dice favored me in AESudan, which was lucky, since the odds were only 2/3. Since you abandoned Egypt as it was untenable, I took the opportunity to take all the islands in the Med that weren’t already mine. This prevents you from landing planes on islands after attacking ships. The Luftwaffe will have to hang around to protect Egypt until I can ferry troops there. I’ve been Italy before with big income, but didn’t last long between U.K. from S. Africa & U.S. Still having its expensive capital ships helps Italy. Otherwise, I couldn’t compete in building a new navy in addition to planes and troops and improvements in Egypt.
