  • Um, you didn’t give me the opportunity to sink the sub in Hawaii. Yes it is a 2-to-1 dog for me, but It impacts your ability to resupply Hawaii. And if I win, I have a chance to invade Hawaii. At this point, I have to take risks.

    Suggest re-running the battle and re-positioning the US forces appropriately, if the Jap sub wins.



  • I non-combat moved that sub and transports into hawaii, expecting to only reinforce the island and obviously you’d kill the transports next round. I saw this https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/13682/transport-sub-non-combat-rule and that’s why I reinforced it. Where does it say that I have to give you the opportunity to shoot at my transports? I guess I forgot that rule, it’s been a while since I read the entire rulebook. I’m just going off of the forum post, but I understand that is from years ago.



  • Well, blow me over. I learned something else new this game. I knew that subs could stop offloading unless you had a warship, but the key part of the rule is that it applies only to amphib assaults. Since Hawaii is friendly, you can ignore the sub…Should have sent the destroyer to block, but I thought I was being sly…

    Ugh. This game just got a lot harder. Heading to bed, will make my move tomorrow.
