    Actually, I agree. When you bailed on the Pacific, I was completely out of position. I don’t think of victory conditions like that, just growing up playing with my Dad. I just think of winning the overall war. When you switched theatres, I was totally caught off guard. That’s when I looked at the victory cities, and thought, oops! Hahaha Great game! Loving low luck!

  • I did not scramble in Eastern Persia as you could not hit the tactical bombers and in the event your AA gun hit and I rolled 3 one’s (about one in 250 chance) I figured you would want the extra fighter to hit Egypt.

    You win! Good game! Well played! I had to see if you’d block me properly with Japan before I called it. I can’t recapture any victory cities this turn.

    I don’t think low luck took any fun out of the game. I thought it was great!

    Want to do a tie-breaker, same sides, same bid? Or switch up sides? Or take a break and play again later?



  • Thank you. It was great fun and extremely close. I almost threw it away there at the end. I literally had just 1 spare unit to win… sheesh.

    I agree I did not see how Low Luck detracted from the game. There was still plenty of luck in the small battles and it was surprising how much Low Luck helped the Allies too. Originally I had thought it would mainly just help the Axis.

    I was very pleased by your US strategy. Ted and I just came to the conclusion that maybe a 100% effort by the US in the Pacific might be the way to go for the Allies. As you decimated Japan I am not sure if I misplayed Japan or it was your great strategy. Certainly if Moscow had not fallen early the Allies would have won.

    I would love another game. Same sides or switch sides with the same bid; makes no difference to me. However since this is such a distraction lets start next week as I have a big presentation on Tuesday and if we start again I will want to play this weekend instead of prepare for it.
