Imperious Leader AA50 maps?

I would buy 2 copies Wolf and sell you 1 when you had the money if I lived closer to ya or you were in my group. Nobody close ? Thought guy post about hurricane just east of you .

When I have the time (my focus is currently on some Global 1940 customizations) I want to update at least the Iwo Jima and Honolulu mistake.

But looking at geography ‘errors’ don’t get me started on the Dutch East Indies and the fake islands they came up with.  :-)

If I wanted to purchase a copy of AA50 from someone on the forums, ebay, amazon or some other seller, what would be a good price? What do they normally sell for. Amazon has some listed for 750$! Do they really sell for that price?

I suspect the price will come down now that global is out. Until that happens you can do any one of the previous reccomendations or simply play off the battlemap module wether it be online or ftf. The setup is right there with no hour wasted.

I like AA50 better.  We actually succeeded with a Kill Japan First strategy in the 1941 scenario, which I didn’t initially think was possible, which made for an exciting pacific game, for once.  I love the inclusion of Italy, and the way research is conducted means that people buy it and inevitably a couple players will get technologies, which makes every game different.

AA50 is a sight better than Revised in my opinion, and is worth the money.  I can’t think of any changes from Revised to AA50 that I wouldn’t consider an improvement.

Yes, I just wish convoy zones would have been but in the game in the first place like AAE. That was a great idea to get the Battle of the Atlantic in the game. AA50 should have been AAE and AAP combined with a few modifications. Still looks awesome though. I see IL has come up with a convoy system in his AA50 house rules. I think the simplest way to do it would be to be key sea zones and put control markers in them. If an enemy unit enters it you cover it with your marker. Each convoy could be worth 1 or 2 IPC’s. Depending on what worked better. If you get it back then remove the enemy’s marker.

I think Norway is going to be much more important to Germany under this set up, than it was in Revised. If the AA50-41 info is correct, I’m going to be sinking that British battleship every game, and moving a good portion of the air defense from France to Norway, at least for the first round.  Seems way too easy a kill to pass up, and at least that will shut down any immediate threat to Scandinavia, while still covering Russia and the critical sea zones around the UK/North sea. The situation on the eastern front seems a bit slower on the uptake, especially with no Russian air, so I think its probably best to concentrate on England first.

Right now I’m liking the 8 inf 1 bomber buy for G, since they have very little infantry fodder at the outset. At least according to the current info/set up. Maybe even two rounds worth, before seriously pushing with the armor.

What buys are you guys looking at for Germany?
