    I needed buy a carrier in order to land air involved in the combat in the Mediterranean. Because the air was destroyed I built the carrier off Normandy instead of Ukraine. Can’t remember if that is allowed by the rules though. Will check before getting to Japan’s turn later although do let me know if you see this before I get to Japan and remember how that works.

    gg. Japan will hold Hawaii and get India soon.

    I feel like once more I gave away the game. I lost it when I micalculated the navy battle in the Pacific. Afterwards it was a desperate uphill battle where I did not put my full attention to the game and made some subsequent mistakes, but the big one was losing the US fleet a couple of turns ago.

    Too bad, I think I really had Japan cornered and was on my way to victory


  • @MrRoboto Yes Good game. And I agree that this one probably should have been yours (I think even more so than the last one).

    The fleet miscalculation definitely allowed Japan to get back into it. I think once you had the edge in the pacific, you might have been better off spending a bit more there to finish the job rather than shifting so much to Europe. And I had fair bit of dice luck too. I don’t think I won any major battles where the odds were against me (except for that Italian air attack in the med), but I consistently was getting better than average results so that I had more units left at the end. We can do another in the new year if you are interested (although I’m probably not ready to start for a couple of weeks).
