But of course, as usual, perverse dice, defenders went 2-2. In Kazak, where I had a tank to take a hit, the defenders went 0-3 & I went 7-7. Bat Calc said I would have a ground unit left in Shan, but defenders rolled well, leaving the road open to Malaya. Not a good turn.

When planning my attacks I almost always plan on taking hits. For example in Khazak, if possible I would take in 2 land units just in case the defender gets lucky. I know you didn’t have the UK land units for Northern Italy, but same for there. Seems like the “dice gods” punish someone who doesn’t take in 1 more land unit. It’s not all about attack power and what the battle calculator shows.

Allies had liberated all of France and were holding okay, but D.A. just built max mech in Germ & other builds to reach France in one turn. Will have to abandon France. Just as U.S. finally got enough bombers to bomb Germ I.C.'s, its too late to save France. But Allies still hold a commanding lead in income. So we shall fight on.
